- Sign up for PMP Individual Test Classes!
If you missed signing up for the complete series of PMP Test Classes, there's good news... it's not too late to sign up for individual classes! The next class is January 31st - Project Integration Management.
PMI Michiana is offering classes to serve 2 purposes - our primary purpose is to assist in you preparation to sit for the PMP exam. Secondary, we are trying something a little bit different this year, and that is to open up each session for individual participation - an opportunity to refresh your project management skills.
On-Line training courses available to Members
Through a strategic partnership with the Michiania PMI chapter, Roeder Consulting is making "In-Person" and "Online" training courses available to provide Web based PDU opportunities for chapter members.
Click the logo for more information, or go to our Seminars and Workshops page.
New Quick Membership Renewal available to members!
Now there is a quick, convenient and secure way for members to renew both their PMI membership and their membership in the chapter. Using Quick Membership Renewal (QMR) you can renew directly through the chapter website instead of visiting PMI.org. Please note, QMR supports individual membership renewals (including retirees). It does not support student member renewals and it also does not support new memberships (these will still need to be processed through PMI.org).

Project Management Maturity, presented by PMIMICHIANA - 02/07/2012
Project Management Maturity Model
Maturity of project management helps us understand several things. First it tackles the competence of the practitioner and tries to measure it on a generalized scale. Second it helps us understand the working environment of the practitioner, if it also assesses the business for which the project is being done. It also creates an opportunity to study and understand the growth of excellent project managers and could help us understand the
mechanism that underlies this growth. This presentation will present Project Manager, Projects Process, and Organizational maturity models and concepts. An initial mind-map has been developed, and the presentation format will be interactive to add details that can be taken by attendees back to their work places for assessment and gap analysis.
Presenter: Ken Riches, PMP
Ken is a Project Manager at American Electric Power - Cook Nuclear Plant. He has 26+ years experience in the electric power generation utility business. He has worked for Pacific Gas & Electric, Detroit Edison, Sargent & Lundy LLC, and American Electric Power.
